This Walbro WT-990 is a high efficiency carburettor which may be fitted without problems on any type of motor, (a must for tuned engines). The original carburetors can give bottom acceleration problems. Since the fuel supply is just below the venturi the air/fuel mixes very well.
In this carburetor are both needles, (low and high), more separated from each other so that they do not affect each other so much. Due to the absence of a choke valve and axle 20% more air can goes through.
The gas valve is on both sides provided with a ball bearing with rubber seals, so that there is absolutely no wear and leakage can occur, and therefore no dirt can get into the motor. In addition, the negative pressure-upper pressure pop-off has been checked so that the carburettor lets the fuel through at the right time.
Default settings:
- Stationary screw: 2 turns
- Lower mixing screw (L) one and a quarter turn open
- Upper mixing screw (H) one and a quarter turn open
Specifications:
- Bore: 12,7 mm
- Venturi: 18,6 mm
